I heard a few weeks back about Aaron Wall being upset with Google Knol pages getting ranked higher on the SERPs. I thought the whole Knol bias thing was temporary and Google will eventually give Knol pages a chance to earn their rankings. A couple of weeks later, and it seems the gaming process has begun by marketers and gurus who use any new service to get backlinks or publish junk content to the net. It seems search engine watch has caught it too. I really like how Fat Wallet deals with people who try to spam it. Essentially, if you put promotional content on Fat Wallet, they reserve the right to charge you $10,000! I am not sure how that’s going to work with Knol or other sites, but still there got to be some punishment for these so-called gurus (you know who you are) who abuse the system.
